My name is Luis Emilio, but feel free to call me Emi.

I’m a Senior Software Engineer at Spotify. Most of my work revolves around building solid software, helping teams raise the bar, and staying close to the code.

Before that, I spent a few years as an adjunct professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oviedo.

Rink Hockey (in Spanish Hockey Sobre Patines) and Karate are still two of the things I care about the most, even if I do not practice them anymore. They shaped a big part of how I think about discipline, competition, and consistency.

These days I also enjoy surfing, snowboarding, and trying my hand at tennis, which I have been enjoying quite a bit lately. Beyond that, I like cooking, taking photos and videos, composing music, and traveling in search of great food.
